Corporate Videos... with a twist

AMG was excited to work with the team behind www.GetLoans.com this spring to create a series of videos for their website's streaming video and online promotion. The project began with a desire to create a few fun skits showing the stress surrounding today's mortgage world, but as the project developed, AMG created 17 separate short videos to cover a wide range of serious mortgage topics, 4 fun skits showing the "light" side of the business, and an interesting twist on the normal promotional video for the individual behind the company.

Acela Media Group enjoyed collaborating with the team from the National Educational Foundation (NEF) to create a series of videos used in the US and international educational programs. AMG was able to coordinate the materials and delivery of the video files with the US team, as well as the overseas team so that all the projects were easily used by all the involved parties.

With the successful launch of the Kukuwa DVD series earlier this year, it then became important for AMG to work with Kukuwa to develop and create the DVDs to be used with the instructors and gyms... providing the most current workout routines for the instructors and their clients in gyms and clubs throughout the US, Canada and abroad. The first several workouts have been filmed, and will become available to the certified instructors later this year.

DVD Release - KUKUWA

Congratulations to Kukuwa for her new DVDs now available to the public! Kukuwa is an internationally acclaimed African Dance Performer, AFAA-Certified Fitness Dance Instructor and Dance Choreographer. She teaches children, teens and adults (both men and women) the techniques and enjoyment of African Cultural Dancing. Kukuwa classes are both an educational and cultural experience for everyone who attends a class with a certified Kukuwa Dance Workout instructor, or at home with her DVDs.

DVD Production – Fitness Workout

Well, one of our favorite clients is at it again... Kukuwa has been working with us for the past several months in preparation of her first retail videos in several years. With the demand to see her new videos and have more from the Queen of African Dance, we developed a way to produce two (2) DVDs to be ready for January 2011. The first DVD is geared towards the Adults who want to have an intense workout that is a total body workout that is more fun that you should have while working out. The second DVD is geared towards the kids, tweens and teens who want to have a great time dancing and staying in shape. With AMG’s full crew and Kukuwa’s many dancers and supporters, the filming day was a huge success. Having four (4) cameras live that day capturing all of the action, the videos are sure to make Kukuwa’s 2011 a very productive and exciting year!

Sizzle Reel – Lifestyle Television

With AMG having production capabilities from our NY and LA locations, in addition to DC, we are able to accommodate a variety of requests from clients and our many referrals. When asked if we could work with a private chef to create his materials for a lifestyle network to showcase his skills and personality from his San Diego location, we said, “No Problem!”

Taking the time necessary for pre production; AMG worked to develop the materials to be filmed, casting for the on-camera talent and worked with the Film Commission to cull through hundreds of listings to determine the best kitchen (location) to use for the filming that matches the needs and personality of our client. When it came time for production, our team worked closely with the client to film in the kitchen/home location, as well as around San Diego at the farmers market to capture the true “lifestyle” of this private chef. Our editors then worked with all the materials to create the video for the networks to also learn more about this chef’s great personality and skills in the kitchen. AMG always loves working with projects like this that involves detailed sizzle reels and/or pilots that truly tell a story.

Branding – Cosmetic Company

When an emerging cosmetic company approached us with a need for a complete branding effort on a limited budget, we knew we had a challenge ahead of us. However, working with the client, we pulled together the product photography, video crews and developed an e-commerce website. Our production team was able to create eight (8) application tutorial videos to be used for the website, as well as a promotional video for the company that highlights the founder’s inspiration for the line while growing up in Australia. Going into 2011, this brand has all the pieces together to open them up to a host of possibilities.

With our many in-house capabilities, and partnering relationships with amazing photographers and programmers specializing in specific software and platforms, AMG is able to continue providing “one-stop shopping” when clients need a complete EPK, Promotional or Marketing package at a reasonable rate.

AV Services – Non Profit’s Summit

AMG collaborated with the PFO Research Foundation while they were in DC for their first annual Summit held at the DC Convention Center. With the need for a local company to handle the details for their event that was bringing speakers and participants from around the world, the Summit was a huge success. A day filled with activities and speakers, AMG assisted in their AV needs while also capturing much of the behind the scenes from the day.

We were then able to provide them with video files from all the speakers of the day, while also creating an informative promotional reel to highlight this Summit, and their mission statement. The Organization is diving into un-chartered waters with a medical disorder that is not yet understood. However, with the amount of people out there that need to learn more about this disorder, and the “heart” and motivation of the founders – this organization will make a big difference in many lives. Kukuwa's Kids Program

Kukuwa never slows down, and now her Kids Program is attracting new attention by several non-profit organizations, including one in DC that is now looking to partner with Kukuwa for their summer program designed to educate kids and teens the importance of healthy eating and making fitness fun. Working along side of Kukuwa, we worked with her and the non-profit this week to film a promo video designed for promoting the organization to potential grants this season. Using some of her existing footage from her video library along with some new footage captured with her working with about 15 kids, a high-impact piece was edited to provide the organization with a 4 minute promo video. As always, it was a pleasure working with Kukuwa as we prepare for her upcoming DVD series for adults and kids/teens later this year.

EnergyUp Fundraiser/Launch Party

With the launch of the new website, High Voltage is in her element working with long-time friend Katie Couric to celebrate the first Fit, Fabulous & Fierce Awards ceremony, Fundraiser and Launch Party. These two fantastic ladies hosted a wonderful event May 6th in New York with all of the friends and supporters of Energy Up. The “power women” featured on the website we launched were all there to show their support, and continue to encourage "Girl Power" to the thousands of girls that EnergyUp reaches each year. An incredible night filled with glitter and music – showing the importance of this wonderful program. We look forward to continued work with EnergyUp and other non-profits with such a great message to share with the world. Congrats to High Voltage and her team!

Non-Profit’s Social Networking Site

Acela Media Group launches Energy Up’s Social Networking website – featuring Kathie Dolgin (aka: “High Voltage”) and her team’s EnergyUp Program designed to help fight childhood obesity by teaching all girls that they can be Fit, Fabulous and Fierce! This amazing Non-Profit Foundation has worked tirelessly for many years to build this Foundation and make a difference to thousands of girls each year.

Last year, working with the professionals at Acela Media, the new “look” of EnergyUp.org was created with the development and design of the website. Beginning with the desire of High Voltage to have “a lot of white, turquoise, pink and sparkle,” the logo was designed, followed by the design of the website… creating a brand identity that screams “Girl Power.” Before launching the website, our Production Department filmed and produced 30+ video segments to be featured on the website’s “Voltage TV” – these provide the content needed to virally grow the online presence of EnergyUp, and begin spreading their Program to additional girls and schools across the country.

The website is full of dynamic features for social networking among the girls, as well as Advice and Blogs from the highly-qualified experts, including Emmy Award Winning Celebrity Stylist Rebecca Weinberg, Author Robyn O’Brien, Fitness Guru Patricia Moreno, Chef Lisa Roberts-Lehan and Lifestyle Coach High Voltage. These experts, along with long-time supporters of the Foundation such as Katie Couric, Kelsey and Camille Grammer, Mayor Bloomberg, Sarah Siegel-Magness and many more make this Foundation a definite “One To Watch” as this social networking / educational website is launched!
